Water shortages are a real fact. More and more we are coming across areas here in South Africa without water entirely or experiencing some form of water restrictions. Our supply of water is not unlimited and it is our responsibility as humans to conserve and use water as sparingly as we can.
Water can be re-used. Rainwater for example is for free, supplied to us from the heavens. This water can be caught into tanks which feed the premises for household use, either through a filter for human consumption or to feed baths, washing machines. It can also be used outside to irrigate gardens or top up swimming pools and Jacuzzis.
Water from baths, basins, showers, washing machines can be used to irrigate gardens and grass.
